I am a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor practicing in Taipei, Taiwan, and I provide tailored-made Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment service in English.
Please read "Why does Traditional Chinese Medicine in Taiwan stand out internationally?".
I received my M.D. degree in Taiwan, and my master's degree in Translation Studies from Edinburgh University in the UK. I also studied in the PhD program of the same field at Warwick University in the UK. Therefore, it will be easy for us to communicate in English.
My clinical interest is dermatological disease, and I specialize in atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, acne and rosacea. I want to help patients with these chronic diseases to have a better life quality.
The essence of Chinese medicine is to adjust the imbalance of one's body. Therefore, the treatment will not only focus on the skin, in fact, the whole body will get better too.
Take atopic dermatitis for instance, very often patients will have this in combination with allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Since patients will feel too itchy to sleep, if it's a child, their natural development will be hindered. Another problem is that with a runny nose and itchy skin, a patient could get easily irritated and would be unable to concentrate on studying.
With Chinese medicine treatment, we can improve our health condition very quickly, whilst not being bothered by the side effect of steroids.
Moreover, since the treatment is to adjust the imbalance of the body, not only the skin gets better but other problems will also be cured such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, insomnia, and even dysmenorrhea and constipation.
It is not rare to get feedback from patients that their entire body's skin is much more tender even though the chief complaint is something unrelated.
You can see more case reports from this link.
With regards to another commonly used treatment method, I do not agree with simply using moisturizer for dry skin. It is not a cure, but rather more like a pacifier. Moisturizer isn't a solution, so I aim to internally relocate the body's water instead.
In my experience, people with dry skin are not really lacking water in their body; instead, there is too much wasted water.
That is the reason why I suggest that we need to “relocate” the water, drain the wasted water and direct the fresh water to the dry area, rather than simply adding more water.
I mainly prescribe Chinese herbs either in a powder or liquid form to treat patients. Acupuncture might also be administered when necessary. My clinic offers a decoction service, and the liquid herbs can be ready one hour after I prescribe them.
All the heavy metals and chemicals of the herbs are carefully monitored in case you get sick before you get cured. All the herbs I prescribe are the highest quality on the market.
Each of my patients can be guaranteed at least 30 minutes for every appointment. I am dedicated to providing excellent and effective treatment for my patients.
Here are my case reports.
